Helpful Tips in Caring for Your Painful Varicose Veins

0
0

Here is a list of some important and very helpful tips in caring for your painful varicose veins. Please read list below.

1. Wear compression stockings.

2. Elevate Your Legs. Raise your legs above the level of your heart 2-3 times a day for 20 minutes at a time.

3. Control your weight. Weight loss decreases the pressure that a big stomach puts on the veins of your legs and abdomen.

4. Exercise. A walking program is the simplest and most effective way to increase the blood flow back to your heart.

5. Avoid wearing high heels.  Wearing heals on a regular basis almost eliminates the ability of your calf pump to function and decrease circulation.

6. Avoid heated floors. Although heat may feel comfortable, it widens your veins, causing blood to pool in your legs.

7. Avoid whirlpool baths and hot tubs. Heated water increases the pooling of blood in your legs and feet and widens your veins.

8. Avoid tight pants and tight belts. When they are too tight, these garments can interfere with the blood return to your heart.

9. Don’t sit or stand too long at one time. Try and walk around at work if sitting for long periods at a time. Do tip toe exercises if you are standing for long periods.

10. Stay out of the sun. The sun damages the elastic layer of your veins and the heat from the sun causes your varicose veins to widen and can cause skin color changes on your legs.

11. Warning Signs. Call your doctor immediately if you notice a sudden onset of severe pain, redness, and hardness in your legs or feet. You may have a blood clot. This is a rare complication.

“My hook phlebectomy was on August 8, 2009, and I was very nervous. However, my nerves were calmed by the time we were ready to start. The technician was very nice, very reassuring, and the doctor was considerate, concerned about pain, and extremely detailed in his work. The most calming thing was the way they spoke to me and laughed with me as if they had known me for years. I never expected to have such a good experience during a vein procedure. Doctor Sinnathamby knows exactly what he is doing and I haven’t felt this good in 10 years. I would recommend Varicose to Perfect to anyone with varicose veins.”

“Where else can you go and have a vein removed while watching a hot dog show? The staff at Varicose to Perfect is funny and good at their work, and the doctor is detailed, considerate, and has a great bedside manner. The television in the procedure room is a wonderful distration and makes for great conversation during the long hook phlebectomy. The ultrasound was the most thorough I have ever had, and the doctor cares about the whole person and is good with a scalpel. They all take pride in taking care of patients, so why go anywhere else?”

There is Treatment for Troublesome Varicose Veins in the Dayton Area

Varicose veins are a troublesome and sometimes painful cosmetic condition. When seen on the hands, they can make the hands look unattractive, and can even prevent their full functioning if they cause the patient pain. People develop visible veins in their hands as a result of a number of factors, but aging is often the primary cause. Aging causes the elastic areas of the vein to fail, which results in the veins ballooning out. The skin also gets thinner, resulting in greater visibility of the hand veins.

Hand veins that are unsightly can be removed from the hand provided that the flow of blood will not be compromised. Physicians who specialize in vein disorders will be able to tell if the blood from the hand is being transported successfully through the deeper veins of the hand to the cardiovascular system. If this is the case, then the veins closer to the surface of the hand can be removed. The surgical procedure is known as a phlebectomy. With this treatment, several very small cuts are created in the hand in an area that is marked to be safe for removal. Then a few of these veins are removed from the area that has been previously delineated. Then the incisions are sutured up. It is a simple procedure that does not require much recovery time.

Other options for hand vein treatments in Cincinnati/Dayton area include the use of sclerotherapy. When this kind of therapy is used, the physician performs a number of injections into the vein causing problems. These injections result in the vein collapsing, and the body absorbing the vein tissue over the course of a few weeks. This kind of therapy is also a simple procedure that can easily help restore the look of a patient’s hand. Side effects included minimal swelling of the treated area.

Dayton Area Vein Treatments | VeinGogh

VeinGogh is a vein treatment that is used by doctors who specialize in vein diseases and cosmetic vein conditions. Some of the conditions treated using this technique include telangiectasia, in which the capillaries dilate to form small unsightly dark red or purple clusters, small benign tumors growing because of vein growth, and spider veins. VeinGogh is a treatment that heats the blood vessels including the problematic veins, and it also uses electrical energy that is highly targeted into the veins that are causing the problem. When the vein has absorbed enough of the energy, it collapses and the tissue is then dissolved into the body. The VeinGogh treatment also coagulates the blood that is in the vein, which is then absorbed by the body’s tissues.

This treatment also prevents the outer layers of the skin from being damaged, so patients never have to worry that their skin will suffer from long-term unpleasant side effects of this treatment. This feature is an improvement over many other older and more outdated vein treatments, which could result in patients being left to manage some troublesome scars as a result of their vein therapies. VeinGogh treatment is also the best option for patients who, for one reason or another, have not had the best results with the use of sclerotherapy or vein injection therapy. There are a few reasons why these other therapies may not work, but VeinGogh provides consistent results, is not invasive, and results in skin that has that vein-free, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing look.

Now if you have troublesome skin with bulging veins or veins that are dilated and causing you problems with your self-confidence regarding your appearance, you can achieve the skin you truly desire. Through the use of VeinGogh treatment in Cincinnati/Dayton area, your skin can be as smooth and beautiful as you imagine.

There is Help for Those Unsightly, Painful Varicose Veins | Dayton

Many people begin experiencing increased varicose veins as they age. Varicose veins can be found throughout the body from the legs to the face but they are often more visible on the face due to the skin being thinner and more delicate in that area. Varicose veins are simply veins that are visible because they occur directly under the surface of the skin. Patients seeking the removal of unsightly or uncomfortable varicose veins will be happy to know there are many solutions available.

Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is one of the most commonly used procedures for the removal of varicose veins. Sclerotherapy involves the injection of a sclerosing agent directly into the veins that are to be removed. Once the injection has been completed the vein will slowly dissipate. Multiple sclerotherapy treatments may be required. Sclerotherapy is most commonly used to treat varicose veins on the legs but can also be used on the face. It is an outpatient procedure that causes minimal discomfort, though there may be some itching and burning.

Laser Treatment
Laser treatment, also known as EVLT, is a method for removing varicose veins using laser fiber. Laser treatment uses ultrasound and laser technology to strip the veins from within. This treatment is not painful at all, uses only local anesthetic and requires minimal recovery time. Patients will have to use compression bandages after the procedure.

Manual Extraction
Ambulatory phlebectomy is a method by which the veins are manually extracted from the body from a small incision. Manual extraction is usually used for larger varicose veins that are extremely close or even protruding under the skin. Ambulatory phlebectomy is not often used on the face but it can be an option for larger veins. Manual extraction is an in-office procedure that can be performed quickly and only requires a local anesthetic.

VeinGogh
VeinGogh is a new method of varicose vein removal and many believe that it may be the best option for the removal of varicose veins on the face. VeinGogh is a non-invasive procedure that uses high frequency bursts of electricity to close the varicose veins. These bursts of electricity are introduced directly into the problem areas in order to collapse the veins without any damage to the exterior skin and tissue.

Sclerotherapy is often referred to as the “gold standard” for vein treatment. It is a minimally invasive, in-office procedure that can both reduce the symptoms of varicose veins and improve the appearance of the skin.

At Varicose to Perfect, Dr. Sinnathamby will take the time with each patient to determine their personal goals and understand the condition of their health before recommending a course of treatment. On average, a patient will need 2-6 sessions, each lasting approximately 20 minutes. Patients often remark on the ease of the procedure, which involves a direct injection of an irritant that causes the vein to collapse and fade below the surface of the skin. It is virtually pain free, requiring only a topical local anesthetic prior to treatment.

After treatment, Dr. Sinnathamby will prescribe the use of a supportive stocking to allow the sites to heal and achieve maximum results in appearance and the reduction of symptoms. There are usually no side effects associated with this procedure, other than a mild staining under the skin that may last a short period of time before fading along with the veins!

Dr. Sinnathamby will go over the procedure and its possible risks, as well as the most likely results with each patient before they undergo a procedure. Sclerotherapy has been used for many years with excellent results- studies show a 95% success rate.

If you are suffering with the pain associated with varicose veins or you frequently make a fashion decision based on covering your legs, contact Dr. Sinnathamby at Varicose to Perfect in Springboro to schedule a consultation.

What is vein disease? | Varicose to Perfect

Vein disease will affect approximately 50% of adults today, many being women. At Varicose to Perfect, the vein disease clinic in the Springboro, Ohio, Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby offers treatment for various kinds of leg vein disorders. Among them are:

Spider Veins
These are tiny veins that become unsightly when their valves fail and the blood begins to pool in them. Though they’re not dangerous to health, many people wish to be rid of them especially if they show up in the face. There are two popular treatments for spider veins. One of them is Vein Gough, where Dr. Sinnathamby would eradicate them with high frequency pulses of energy. This causes the blood in the veins to coagulate then causes the vein itself to collapse. The body reabsorbs it and the blood is directed to healthy veins. This doesn’t affect the upper layers of the skin, and the patient can go back to their daily lives soon after the treatment.

Another way to treat spider veins is sclerotherapy, where a solution is injected into the vein and causes it to collapse.

Varicose Veins

These veins are larger than spider veins and are often found in the legs. Again, they’re caused by valves in the vein that collapse instead of making sure that the blood goes to the heart. The blood again pools in the veins and causes them to be distended and unsightly. Some of the symptoms of varicose veins are pains in the legs, fatigue, a feeling of heaviness, swollen legs, itching, tingling or burning, a darkening of the skin and restless legs. Varicose veins can also be treated by Vein Gough, lasers, sclerotherapy and ambulatory hook phlebectomy. This procedure uses tiny hooks to pull the dilated veins out of the body. Severe, untreated cases of varicose veins can lead to:

Leg Ulcers

These are weeping sores on the skin of the legs. They can also be caused by blood clots, obesity or standing up for long periods of time. They can be treated by compression bandages and other treatments.

Patients who suffer from spider veins, varicose veins or leg ulcers should schedule an appointment with Dr. Sinnathamby at the Varicose to Perfect clinic for a consulation. Call today at (937) 405-4010.

EVLT can offer virtually painless vein treatment! | Varicose to Perfect

Spider, or varicose, veins are unsightly and can be painful. They occur between puberty and menopause in women, although men are prone to this condition too. Faculty vein valves allow blood to accumulate in these blood vessels, making them appear blue or purple on the skin’s surface. In the past, painful ligation and stripping techniques were the only way to relieve varicose vein pain. Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby at Varicose to Perfect in Springboro, Ohio specializes in a less invasive technique called Endovenous Laser Treatment, or EVLT.

The Procedure

Using local anesthetic, Dr. Sinnathamby places a catheter near your groin and into the saphenous vein. This large vein is the main pathway to your varicose veins. With the catheter in place, a thin laser fiber is strategically moved through the open vein to the varicose veins. Radial energy permeates the varicose vein and essentially closes the walls together. Blood flow siphons through nearby veins that are not varicose.

Recovery

Compared to older ligation strategies, EVLT is almost pain-free. You are able to return to work with no walking problems. Your blood flow is simply detoured, but your tissues still receive the oxygen and nutrients necessary for normal life. A compression bandage is necessary after the treatment, along with walking exercise to keep your circulation flowing well. You may experience some bruising and tightness in the area. The body is trying to acclimate to the new blood flow circulation and needs healing time.

Benefits

Depending on the varicose vein severity, EVLT reduces leg swelling and cramping. Increased blood flow to the legs helps you ward off potential restless leg syndrome and chronic aches. Because the treatment is typically completed in less than an hour, you do not have a large medical bill to deal with afterward.

Dealing with ugly varicose veins now has a safe and comfortable solution. Contact Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby at Varicose to Perfect today. He, and his staff, have many years of experience working with patients, from small vein outbreaks to debilitating swollen vessels. Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby takes care of your vascular system to keep you healthy for many years to come.

Spider Veins

Spider veins or telangiectasias are actually forms of varicose veins. Like varicose veins, the veins can no longer carry blood to the heart the way they’re supposed to. Their valves collapse, they dilate and allow blood to pool. However, instead of being the large veins that come from the legs, spider veins are capillaries that can be found not just in the legs but in the nose and the face as well. They’re closer to the top layers of the skin and when they dilate they form very thin tangles or webs on the face or legs. They are most often blue or red.

Spider veins aren’t dangerous, but people who have them often find them unattractive and opt to have them removed. This is especially true if they’re found in the face or nose.

Treatment of Spider Veins
Spider veins can be treated with lasers or sclerotherapy. Lasers destroy the spider veins and the body reabsorbs what’s left of them. It might take a few sessions with laser for the spider veins to disappear completely. Another way to get rid of spider veins is to inject them with a chemical that causes them to swell. The blood also clots in the vein and eventually it collapses then fades. If the spider veins are found in the legs, the patient is often given compression bandages to wear. This forces the walls of the veins to adhere. Again, the body reabsorbs them and they eventually disappear. Blood that would have normally flowed through these insufficient veins are now sent to other veins.

Signs and Symptoms
Spider veins can often be seen right away, even though they’re not palpable like larger varicose veins. Spider veins most often show up in middle aged people and can be the result of too much sun exposure or changes in the person’s hormone levels. But the causes of spider veins aren’t completely understood.

Residents in the vicinity of Dayton or Springboro, Ohio who are worried about spider veins should call Varicose to Perfect clinic for a consultation. Their number is 937 405-4010.

Causes, Signs and Symptoms Of Vein Disease

Veins are those blood vessels that return the blood to the heart. Because of this, many of them have valves that make sure that the blood is pumped upward and doesn’t fall back into the veins. However, one kind of vein disease happens when the valves fail. The veins become dilated and the blood pools in them. These are called varicose veins. They often happen in the legs and ankles and show up as unsightly tangles of veins. The condition can also happen to tiny veins in the face and the nose. These veins are called spider veins.

Vein disorders are extremely common and by the time they reach age 60 most women and a large minority of men will have had some kind of disorder of their veins.

Vein diseases can have many causes. Among them are pregnancy, obesity or working in a job where the person must stand up or long periods of time. Other people develop vein disorders because they’re athletic and their sport of choice, like body building, puts pressure on their veins.

Signs and Symptoms
The signs of vein disease are the obvious varicose veins in the legs and the spider veins on the nose or face. Symptoms can include an itching or burning in the area, a darkening of the skin, leg pain and cramps, restless legs and legs that feel heavy or are swollen.

Fortunately, varicose and spider veins can be treated. They can be treated with sclerotherapy. This is where a chemical is injected into the damaged vein and destroys it. Diseased veins can also be destroyed through lasers. The body simply absorbs what’s left of the vein and reroutes the blood into other veins. In some cases, the veins are simply stripped or pulled out and the cut ends tied off. Again, the blood is rerouted to healthier blood vessels.

People in the Dayton or Springboro, Ohio area who believe they’re suffering from vein disease should get in touch with the Varicose To Perfect clinic. Call for a consultation at (937)405-4010.

Ambulatory Hook Phlebectomy

If you have been suffering from varicose veins, then you may want to consider getting ambulatory phlebectomy. Ambulatory phlebectomy is a minimally-invasive procedure that can help remove varicose veins. It is also known as a hook phlebectomy. This procedure is typically recommended for people who have varicose veins located in their extremities.

Unlike many other traditional vein stripping methods, ambulatory phlebectomy can be performed inside of an office under local anesthesia. In most cases, patients are only required to get one treatment. The ambulatory phlebectomy procedure involves using micro-extraction hooks to remove the varicose veins. A tiny incision is made prior to performing this procedure.

After the procedure has been completed, patients will have to wear a bandage for two weeks. This bandage helps reduce discomfort and swelling. It also allows for proper healing. People will need to apply ice to the treatment area for 15 to 20 minutes after their treatment until bed time. Ice can also be used on the second day in order to reduce the swelling. It is normal to experience some slight bleeding after your procedure, but you should contact your doctor if you begin to bleed excessively.

Most people who get an ambulatory phlebectomy get it along with EVLT. This help them get the best results. However, this treatment is also very effective when it is performed as a standalone procedure. People who opt for this treatment greatly reduce their risk of developing residual skin darkening and skin necrosis.

If you are looking for a clinic in Springboro, Ohio that offers varicose vein treatment, then you should consider contacting Varicose to Perfect. This clinic wants you to live a productive life without worrying about the discomfort of varicose veins. You can schedule a consultation if you want to find out more about this treatment.

Endovenous Laser Treatment

0
0

Varicose veins are an extremely common problem. In fact, it is estimated that 18 percent of men and 25 percent of women have varicose veins. In the past, vein stripping surgery was the only option for this problem. That was a very painful option. Today, people have the option of getting endovenous laser treatment.

Endovenous Laser Treatment at Varicose to Perfect in Dayton OH

This treatment was developed by the leading phlebologists. A phlebologist is a medical professional who diagnoses and treats disorders of the veins. This is a painless procedure that can be completed inside of an office in just one hour. There is virtually no recovery time, and patients can return to their normal activities as soon as their procedure has been completed.

The endovenous laser treatment, which is also known as EVLT, involves using ultrasound technology to pinpoint the position of the vein. The next step is to apply the local anesthetic and place the catheter. The catheter is positioned close to the groin region.

The laser fiber is then placed inside of the catheter. When the laser fiber is activated, it will emit radial energy that will cause the vein walls to close. This will cause the veins to shrink in size.

Patients will need to wear a compression bandage after their procedure has been completed. They will also need to walk around three times per day, for 10 minutes at a time for the next two weeks.

If you are interested in getting EVLT, then you should contact Varicose to Perfect. This is one of the leading vein treatment centers in the Springboro, Ohio area. Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby is the leader of the team. He is a board-certified physician.

Like most of the other procedures that are offered at Varicose to Perfect, EVLT may be covered by health insurance. The staff members will also handle the necessary documentation and billing.

The Many Vein Treatment Options Available from Varicose to Perfect

In the human body, the venous system is responsible for carrying to the heart blood that has been depleted of oxygen. The individual vessels are known as veins, and they are subject to problems, particularly later in a person’s life. Veins that become swollen, or varicose, can be particularly unsightly. Fortunately, a number of methods of treating varicose veins are available from Varicose to Perfect, located in Springboro, Ohio.
Veins contain tiny valves, and a disruption in them can disrupt the flow of blood and cause the vessels to bulge. Varicose veins are almost twice as common in women than in men, and pregnancy is one condition that can cause the disorder. Other factors include obesity and activities that are either excessively sedate or excessively strenuous. However, heredity is believed to be the single most important factor in determining whether somebody will develop varicose veins.
A number of minimally evasive varicose vein treatment options are available from Varicose to Perfect. Ambulatory phlebectomy is a technique in which microscopic hooks are used to physically remove the affected vein through a small incision that is made in the skin. This simple method can be accomplished in the doctor’s office, and only requires a local anesthesia. Another technique is known as sclerotherapy, in which a chemical agent is injected directly into the vein, causing it to collapse. This procedure may require up to six sessions, but eventually the obtrusive vein is gone for good.

Other treatment options employ the power of light or electricity. Endovenous laser treatment is a method of using radial energy to close the walls of a vein from the inside. This procedure can be completed in less than an hour, and periods of moderate exercise combined with the use of a compression bandage will assure total recovery. Another method of using energy to eliminate varicose veins is the VeinGogh System. The system uses bursts of electrical energy through small probes that results in the coagulation of the blood inside the affected vein, after which the vessel will itself collapse and dissipate.
Such methods of treatment are available from Varicose to Perfect, located in Springboro, Ohio. For more information, call (937) 405-4010 or visit its website at www.varicosetoperfect.com.

There several vein conditions that can affect your legs. Some vein conditions may look unpleasant but are harmless, but others can be symptoms pointing toward a vascular disorder.

If you suspect you have some of these vein conditions, you can schedule a consultation with Varicose to Perfect, a vein treatment center right here in Springboro, Ohio. Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby, a vascular specialist and board-certified physician, heads up our team. When you visit us, we will give you an evaluation and screening, diagnose your condition, and recommend treatment options.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are a mild form of venous insufficiency. They are typically harmless, but many patients find them unsightly and choose treatment to remove them. The spider vein treatments at Varicose to Perfect are very effective and non-invasive. Most patients can return to their normal routine almost immediately after treatment. They have a choice between the VeinGogh treatment, a non-invasive option that coagulates the blood through high-frequency energy bursts, or sclerotherapy, a more traditional treatment involving an injection.

Varicose Veins

The seriousness of varicose veins can vary. In some cases, they may be just a mild cosmetic issue, but they can also be an indicator of serious circulation problems. Typically, they are caused by blood pooling in the veins. The veins swell and bulge below the skin’s surface. This can lead to unpleasant symptoms like changes in skin color, fatigue, swelling, cramping, leg pain, a tingling or burning sensation in the legs, and restlessness.

Varicose vein treatments are often covered by insurance, but if you are concerned, our staff can help you figure out the documentation you need for pre-approval. Our treatments in the Springboro treatment center are minimally invasive, such as laser treatments and sclerotherapy.

Leg Ulcers

The most common type of skin ulcer is the venous leg ulcer, often found above the ankle. They are caused by increased lower-leg blood pressure and poor circulation. While men and women both get these ulcers, older women get them more commonly. Sometimes, untreated varicose veins can develop into leg ulcers. These ulcers can also be caused by blood clots, obesity, or standing for a long time. The treatments are often simple, such as reducing swelling with compression bandages.

Sclerotherapy

In Springboro Ohio, Varicose to Perfect is helping many of their patients by reducing surface varicose veins with Sclerotherapy. The aging process can’t be avoided, but, by eliminating unsightly varicose and spider veins, you can take a dip in the Fountain of Youth and look like a million dollars. Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that completely removes the evidence that the patient suffered from visible varicose veins. With over 95 percent of the patients, these veins can be successfully eliminated and there is immediate improvement. In as few as two to six treatments, the skin appears smooth and clear again.

The Sclerotherapy Process

Sclerotherapy is the Gold Standard in varicose vein removal, and it is performed in the office in Springboro Ohio. The procedure consists of an injection of a scelrosing agent that goes directly into the vein, which then causes the vein to collapse and recede into the skin again. The process is relatively painless, with only a local anesthesia, and after just a few visits the varicose veins that were treated are invisible.

You will need to walk for 30 minutes per day, but avoid doing heavy aerobics for at least three weeks. You can take anti-inflammatory medications, but you should contact your doctor if you are still experiencing pain after two or three days. Support hose will need to be worn for three weeks, and they will need to be replaced after two days.

It is important for you to have someone drive you home after getting this procedure. You will have to wear support hose for three weeks after this procedure. Heavy activity will need to be avoided for three weeks. You should also avoid soaking in a tub or pool until all wounds are completely healed- usually about one week.

Causes, Signs and Symptoms of Vein Disease

Vein disease is a common medical problem that many people will experience at some point in their lives. It is more prevalent in women than men and generally affects older individuals. Overall, as many as 70 percent of women and 40 percent of men tend to be affected by some form of vein disease by the time they reach 60 years of age.

There are several common types of vein disease. These include varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis and edema. Generally speaking, there are several different causes that can lead to the development of vein disease. These diseases can be genetic and passed down through families but can also come about as a result of prolonged standing or sitting, pregnancy, excessive weight gain and activities that put tremendous pressure on the veins such as running, jogging and body building.

Varicose veins are quite common and typically affect women. They may appear but not bring any pain. Typical symptoms of varicose veins include veins that are very noticeable due to their purple or blue color, veins that appear as though in knots on the legs, pain in the legs, especially after sitting or standing for long stretches of time, pain and cramping in the legs, itching in or around veins and skin ulcers near the ankles. Varicose veins are often mistaken for spider veins due to their similar look. However, spider veins are smaller and are closer to the surface of the skin.

Deep vein thrombosis can often appear without any symptoms. However, when they do manifest, the individual will notice swelling in the leg, ankle and foot, pain and the sensation of a cramp or charley horse, a paleness or reddish or bluish tint to the skin and warmth over the affected leg. The condition can also lead to a pulmonary embolism, which means that if additional symptoms appear, it is absolutely essential to seek immediate medical attention. These symptoms include a rapid pulse, sudden shortness of breath, dizziness or fainting, chest pains, coughing up blood and a nervous or anxious feeling.

Edema is a vein disease that is caused by fluid buildup and leakage of fluid in the blood vessels. It can result from standing or sitting in the same position for a prolonged period, pregnancy, eating too much salt and premenstrual symptoms.

If you experience any of these symptoms and know or believe you have a vein disease, visit our Varicose to Perfect Springboro, Ohio office for a consultation.

Spider veins occur when networks of blood vessels in the body start to dilate. Most spider veins present no real medical risk to the body although some people do experience aching in the area. Spider veins are really an aesthetic problem because they create an area of dark marks on the legs or thighs that is clearly visible. Fortunately, Varicose to Perfect has the experience and technology to help anyone in the Springboro, Ohio area to get rid of spider veins. It is important to understand why spider veins form and how they can be treated.

Reasons Spider Veins Form

Spider veins largely form because of abnormalities with the veins or the circulation in the body. Some people have genetic predispositions that lead to the development of spider veins. Changes in hormone levels or pressure on the legs and abdomen can make spider veins appear worse. Some diseases and physical injuries have also been associated with the appearance of spider veins.

Removing Spider Veins with Laser Therapy

Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby at Varicose to Perfect is a board-certified physician who can help to treat spider veins through laser therapy. This type of therapy uses pulses of energy to seal the visible veins. This causes the spider veins to slowly fade over time until they can no longer be seen. Laser therapy is non-invasive and can be very effective. Not everyone is a good candidate for laser surgery although other treatment options are available.

Treating Spider Veins with Sclerotherapy

Another common treatment that Dr. Sinnathamby can perform for anyone in Springboro, Ohio who is suffering from spider veins is sclerotherapy. This treatment injects a liquid into the spider veins. The fluid actually causes scarring inside the veins. The scarring forces the veins to shrink and eventually collapse. This makes the spider veins nearly invisible over the course of several weeks.
